A chattar is a ceremonial canopy or umbrella placed above the deity idol in a home mandir. It is a mark of reverence — symbolising shelter and honour over the divine. Our chattars are handcrafted in velvet with brass and gold-foil detailing.

How do I clean the velvet chattar?
Dust gently with a soft dry cloth. Do not wash or submerge. For deeper cleaning, use a fabric steamer from a distance. Store in the cloth bag provided when not in use to keep the velvet looking its best.
